Interim Smith County Judge Nathaniel Moran announces he will run for a full term in the 2018 election.
Moran has been serving since Judge Joel Baker resigned last July amid charges of violating the Texas Open Meetings Act.
He says his decision to run is guided by an eagerness to serve a growing, vibrant community.
I think there are issues I can solve for the citizens of this community. I feel like there has been a rally around the County the last 11 months that is moving in a new direction,” Moran said.
Moran is also a former Tyler City Council Member.
