Nacogdoches man to serve 20 years in federal prison, drug trafficking

LUFKIN - Nacogdoches native, Jon McNeely, 24, will serve a 20 year sentence in federal prison after being charged with federal drug trafficking violations in East Texas.

According to court proceedings, McNeely was a major methamphetamine trafficker in both Nacogdoches and Angelina counties.

His organization distributed over 15 kilograms of methamphetamine around East Texas.

McNeely was indicted by a federal grand jury in December 2016 and was charged with the drug trafficking violations.

In March of this year, McNeely pled guilty to possession with intent to distribute methamphetamine before being sentenced to 20 years in prison.
