Children are a Gift: Jorge

Children are a Gift: Jorge

TYLER (KYTX) – Typical of a 13-year-old, Jorge enjoys video games. So much so, it's what he wants to do when he grows up.

"I plan on being a Game Designer," he said with a smile.

He also enjoys sports, karate and being around people. "I'm a loving person. I love to chat and I make a lot of friends in school."

This 8th-grader does well school. "He's very smart, very intelligent," said Katy Chadwell with Child Protective Services.

"My favorite subject is math and science and I like band. I play the flute and drums."

Jorge at times can be described as daring with spontaneous behavior, but he is very polite. He would benefit from stability and consistency in his living environment. He excels with positive reinforcement.

Chadwell said, "As an individual, he's really grown and shown his potential."

But his years in foster care have been tough. Jorge explains, "It was hard to actually see what my mom was going through and once I found out that she signed me away I was depressed for a couple of weeks, but I just let it go. I forgave her."

He's now looking forward to starting over. "Live a new life and I want a nice, generous, loving family."

Chadwell adds, "He's very sweet and he deserves a good family."

Jorge is ready to be adopted, but wants to maintain contact with his brother who has already been adopted.
