Police seeking information to identify driver in Longview crash

The Gregg County Sheriff's Office is asking the public for information to identify a driver that caused another driver to lose control and roll off the roadway around 12:30 p.m. today on Highway 31 near Longview.

Police say that witnesses of the accident reported seeing a white Dodge pickup stopped on the north shoulder of Highway 31. The Dodge then made a U-turn from the shoulder to head south toward Kilgore.

While the Dodge was making the U-turn, a blue Ford F-150 was heading north on the highway and had maneuver his vehicle to evade the Dodge.

As the driver of the Ford was trying to avoid the Dodge, the Ford ran off the roadway on the right side and began rolling.

The Dodge did not stop.

Law enforcement officials from the Gregg County Sheriff's Office are currently seeking information that can lead to the identification of the driver of the Dodge.

Anyone who has information is urged to contact the Gregg County Sheriff's Office at 903-236-8400.
