Profanity-laced bumper sticker sparks controversy

A profanity laced bumper sticker stirs up controversy after the Fort Bend County Sheriff's Office threatens charges.

A profanity laced bumper sticker is causing controversy after Fort Bend County Sheriff Troy Nehls threatened to file disorderly conduct charges against Karen Fonseca, the driver of the truck.

The sticker reads: "F--- Trump and F--- you for voting for him."

Under fire from the American Civil Liberties Union, Sheriff Nehls addressed the issue during a Wednesday press conference where he announced that no arrests or charges had been made in connection with the sticker.

According to Smith County Sheriff Larry Smith, that isnt surprising.

What would be required is that it has to offend someone and cause an unruly situation in order for it to fit the disorderly conduct statue,” Sheriff Smith said.

Although no charges have been filed, Fonseca was taken into custody on an unrelated fraud warrant.
