Senior Center sale makes its debut

TYLER - The Tyler Senior Center will be hosting its first ever Senior Sale on Oct. 1 from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m.

The sale will be held at the Glass Recreation Center gym located at 501 W. 32nd St.

This sale is for gently used items and handmade crafts only (no baked items). Admission will be free to the public.

Those 55 and older who would like to sell items may rent space for $15. For an additional fee of $5, one table and two chairs will be provided to the vendor.

“This is an event I’ve been looking forward to for so long,” Kay Odom, Tyler Senior Center supervisor said. “We want to provide a safe space for seniors to sell their items. It’s a good way to earn extra money and promote extra cleaning that helps declutter houses!”

On the day of the event, vendors may start setting up at 6 a.m. There will be concessions available for guests. Donations will also be accepted with all proceeds benefiting the Tyler Senior Center.

For more information and to register, please call the Tyler Senior Center at (903) 597-0781 or Debbie Isham, special events and recreation supervisor, at (903) 531-1214.
