Surviving Cancer: The Susan Ellsworth Story

Less than 24-hours before the Susan G. Komen race kicks off tomorrow morning and we have one more story about the impact this race has on local survivors.

TYLER, Texas - We often hear about the rising number of women being diagnosed with breast cancer around the world, including right here in East Texas.

Now, we’re adding a face to go along with those numbers.

Ahead of the Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure – Tyler, CBS19 is highlighting those who have experienced breast cancer, or are working to help others overcome it.

Breast Cancer Survivor Susan Ellsworth,  discusses her diagnosis and how she’s overcoming it.

The race takes place Saturday, May 13th at Bergfeld Park, starting at 8 a.m.

The Survivor’s Breakfast will be held at 7 a.m.
