TYLER - Tyler's Historic Aviation Memorial Museum gave cadets ages 12-15 a week long education of aviation. Organizers say the goal is to introduce them to careers in the field.
"Cadets met pilots, saw current and retired aircraft and learned about the field." Museum President Louis Thomas said. "They are the future and they don't get to learn about the aviation field in school."
The weather prevented MIG17s, SA16 Albatros seaplanes, T-37 and other current military planes from landing at the airport.
Museum officials encourage anyone interested in aviation to visit the museum.
"We want students and anyone interested to talk to us about the field." Thomas said. "The future of aviation depends on it."
