Undercover drug sting results in arrest of Nacogdoches man

Nacogdoches County Sheriff's office conducted an undercover sting operation on Seale Street in Nacogdoches on Sept. 2. As a result Dernell Pleasant, 33 of Nacogdoches was arrested for selling methamphetamine to undercover officers multiple times.
Pleasant was also out on parole by the Texas Department of Criminal Justice.
On Sept. 1 Nacogdoches County Sheriff's office obtained a search and arrest warrant for Pleasant. 
The Nacogdoches County Combined Swat Team conducted the search warrant on the residence shortly before noon Sept. 2.
Police found the following at the residence:
  • 19.6 grams of Xanax
  • 153 grams of Codeine
  • Small amount of Marijuana
  • Meth
Pleasant is a registered sex offender on parole and had on an ankle monitor.
Pleasant is charged with delivery of a controlled substance a 2nd degree felony, possession of a controlled substance 2nd degree felony, possession of a controlled substance class A misdemeanor and possession of marijuana, class b misdemeanor.
Pleasant was transported to the Nacogdoches County Jail.
