Wounded Warrior Tree helps veterans participate in outdoor activities

The Wounded Warrior Tree or "Warrior Tree" was created by Kim Moore, and Dr. Anthony Davis with the help of Chris Gill to provide funds to Lone Star Warriors Outdoors, to help get Wounded or Combat Injured Warriors from Afghanistan and Iraq into the outdo

TYLER - The Wounded Warrior Tree is a way to say "thank you" to those who were wounded or combat injured warriors from Afghanistan and Iraq.

Donations made to the Wounded Warrior Tree go directly toward helping these warriors participate in hunting, fishing and outdoor activities with the Lone Star Warriors Outdoors.

This gives warriors the chance to do what some of them may have enjoyed doing before they were injured and to many, those activities can be therapeutic.

Donations and ornaments made are sent to the Lone Star Warriors Outdoors and ornaments are given to the warriors as they participate on the hunts and outdoor activities.
