"People often come to us when a loved one is injury, and it's very sad to see a child injured. and we just saw this as a great opportunity to help prevent injury."
The organization got involved with the national Heads and Helmets program and  will be giving out the helmets during the Great Texas Balloon Race Festival Friday and Saturday in Longview.
They will also measure kids to make sure the helmet matches their heads, and allow children to decorate their helmets to their liking with a selection of thousands of stickers
