LONGVIEW/GREGG COUNTY (KYTX) - A mother and two teens were arrested early Wednesday on charges of assault, after police said she asked her sons to come to her house and assault her husband.
According to arrest affidavits in Gregg County's Justice of the Peace Precinct 1 Office, 38-year-old Jeannie Elaine Barryer-Jones - also known as Jeannie Davis - got into an altercation with her husband just after midnight Wednesday. Barryer-Jones then called her sons, 19-year-old Latrell Trimal Davis, and 17-year-old Keenan Cambrian Davis, from their home on James Drive to her house in the 700 block of Buchanan Street. When her sons arrived, they ran towards their stepfather and assaulted him, according to affidavits.
The victim had blood on his face and an open wound to his knee, with damage to his teeth and a lip injury, according to police.
Both Keenan Davis and Latrell Davis were released from the Gregg County Jail on $1,000 bond each Wednesday. Jeannie Davis remains jailed today on $1,000 bond plus a warrant for an $854 fine for theft by check, according to jail records.
