LONGVIEW (KYTX) - Le Cheval Gardens (ley shuh vall) is a new venue in the ArkLaTex promising a whimsical and ideal experience unlike any other. The former Fisher Stables and Arena in Longview, TX on Harrison Road was recently purchased by Ronnie and Alisha Knox.
The vast space that once resembled more of a rodeo setting, now looks more like a scene from Sofia Copola's Marie Antoinette, with 17th Century-style carriages that cart guests through gardens of exotic flowers and wildlife, lit by Swedish lamps. In addition, the Knoxes have updated the facilities and renovated it into an equestrian center, housing imported horses of regal elegance. The venue will be open for after-dinner enchantment as an imaginative alternative to traditional entertainment options.
"The idea was to create a place the was completely different from anywhere else, but emphasize the beauty of Piney Woods country," said Alisha as she fastens a glittery gold unicorn horn to one of her miniature horses for a child's birthday photos. "I've loved horses since I was little and this place has been a dream of mine just as long. It's going to be magical."
Le Cheval, literally translated means "the horse," in French, so Knox has finally seen her vision become reality with her very own horse gardens.
The grand opening and ribbon cutting ceremony will be during "Masquerade in the Meadow," Saturday, November 8, 6-9 p.m. This is the venue's much anticipated public debut featuring performances by Little Texas, Jaden Farnsworth and Selah Strings Quartet.
A portion of proceeds go toward benefitting The Martin House Children's Advocacy Center of Gregg & Harrison Counties, and Longview Dream Center. Tickets are available at Cavenders Boot City in Longview, and Tyler, as well as online at www.lechevalgardens.com, prices are $90 and $150 for VIP. Guests are invited to stay and attend an after party to dance the night away. VIP's will have a meet and greet with Little Texas before they perform. There are also tickets available for the after party only, $45, which begins at 9 p.m., plus VIP group discounts for parties of 10. Dress country chic, wear shoes comfortable for a garden party and don't forget a mask!
Le Cheval Gardens is available to book for weddings, birthday parties and photography sessions. Inquiries can be made at 903-241-2902.
