LONGVIEW/GREGG COUNTY (KYTX) - A 17-year-old Longview woman is in jail on $10,000 bond today after police say she stabbed her boyfriend in the chest with a pair of scissors.
The man is hospitalized with life-threatening injuries, says Longview police spokeswoman Kristie Brian.
Court records show that police responded to a family violence call in the 700 block of Mobberly Avenue shortly before 6 p.m. Sunday. Arianna Champion told police that she had been in a verbal and physical altercation with her boyfriend of nine months when she retrieved a pair of scissors from her chest of drawers and stabbed him in the upper left chest.
She remains in the Gregg County Jail today, charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.
