Lufkin man arrested for a slew of charges after traffic stop

LUFKIN (KYTX) - A Lufkin man with expired driver's license was found to be driving a truck without permission and in possession of drug paraphernalia after Lufkin PD conducted a traffic stop early Thursday morning.

Lufkin officers pulled over 34-year-old Thaddeus Woods just before 1 a.m. in the 100 block of Chambers Street after he failed to signal when making a turn.

Woods was driving a 2005 white Chevrolet truck and upon further inspection officers learned that his driver's license was expired. Wood's had also allegedly taken the truck without the permission of its owner from a business located in the 600 block of N. Timberland Dr.

Officers also found a drug smoking pipe in the truck Woods was driving.

Woods was arrested for unauthorized use of a vehicle, possession of drug paraphernalia, expired driver's license, and failure to signal intent to turn.

He was booked into Angelina County Jail.
