Lufkin man arrested for DWI with child in car

(KYTX) - A Lufkin man is behind bars after being arrested for wrecking his car while intoxicated Saturday morning.

According to Lufkin Police Randy W. Eckenfels, 28, wrecked his car on 1700 W. Frank Avenue in Lufkin under the influence of alcohol and had a young child with him.

After a search of his car police found a pill bottle of Carisoprodol prescribed to Eckenfels, but they are still investigating if the 94 pills are his. 

Eckenfels is being held in the Angelina Co. Jail with a bond of 5000 dollars.
