Man found shot in arm and stomach outside Palestine club

PALESTINE (KYTX) - Palestine police are investigating a shooting that left one man in critical condition Sunday morning.

Law enforcement responded to Club Tangeria in the 200 block of Saltworks Road where they found the man laying on the ground outside the club with a gunshot wound to the arm and abdomen.

Witnesses told police the victim had initially been sitting in a car when shots were three to four shots were fired from a midsize car driving by.

The victim was taken to Tyler hospital by air and is listed in critical but stable condition.

Police aren't releasing the name of the victim, but say he is from the Fort Worth area.

Law enforcement has spoken to several other witnesses about the shooting and are following up on those leads. In a statement to the media, Sgt .James Muniz said, "There are other people that we will be looking to speak with over the next few days." says Sgt. James Muniz.

The investigation is in the beginning stages and no arrests have been made. Palestine police plan to speak to one person of interest soon.
