KILGORE (KYTX) - A Kilgore man wanted for a September 2012 aggravated robbery at a Tyler home is in a Longview jail today.
Kendryon Deshaun Smith, 21, was arrested at 11:41 p.m. Monday at his home in the 200 block of Griffin Davis Road in Kilgore.
Tyler police say that Smith went inside a home on S. Augusta St. in Tyler in September and shot a man three times before taking cash and drugs from the home.
Smith is being held on $100,000 bond for the aggravated robbery charge. Bond has not been set on a new Gregg County charge for evading arrest.
According to the Gregg County District Clerk's Office, Smith is serving a six year deferred probation sentence for his involvement in a December 11, 2011 attack of a Spring Hill teenager in a grocery store parking lot. The incident occurred at the intersection of Gilmer Road and Hawkins Parkway in Longview.
Smith was also arrested in January 2012 for shooting a man in Kilgore after an altercation at a nightclub on Highway 31 West, but he was never indicted on that charge. Smith was indicted on a charge of theft of a firearm, but that case was dismissed.
