UPDATE: Wood County Sheriff Jim Brown confirms with KYTX CBS 19 that McLemore has been injured and care flighted to a local hospital.
McLemore reportedly did not have any accomplices. Wood County investigators say McLemore was shot while being apprehended. He is at ETMC in Tyler.
There is no word of what condition he is in.
He faces an attempted capitol murder charge, and a $500,000 bond.
UPDATE: (KYTX) - Gunshots were heard coming from the woods where a manhunt is underway for a Wood County man accused of firing shots at officers Monday night.
KYTX CBS 19's Courtney Friedman is on the scene and says the shots were heard just after noon on County Road 3145. Moments later, at least seven Texas Rangers' cars were on the scene.
No word on if there are any injuries or if McLemore has been taken into custody.
WOOD COUNTY (KYTX) - At approximately 11 p.m. Monday evening, a DPS Trooper and a Wood County Deputy answered a call at 3595 FM 2088 in Wood County in reference to a disturbance.
Upon pulling into the driveway shots were fired at the officers. According to the Wood Co. Sheriff's Department the shooter was identified as Daniel McLemore. The shots were fired by McLemore as he stood in his driveway. The officers returned fire.
No injuries were reported in the exchange. McLemore fled from the scene and a manhunt for the individual is underway. McLemore is armed and should be considered dangerous. McLemore is describes as a white male, 5'9" 190 lbs.
A warrant has been issued for Attempted Capital Murder and bond has been set at $500,000. DPS, TDC, and Smith County assisted Wood County in the manhunt.
Authorities have not released a motive for the shooting.
