Minor earthquake reported in Fort Worth

MANSFIELD (CBSDFW.COM) – A minor earthquake rattled parts of North Texas just before 11 p.m. Monday night, but police said that there were no reports of damage or injuries.

The National Earthquake Information Center said the 2.3-magnitude shaker was centered two miles south-southeast of Mansfield and was reported at 10:50 p.m. It had a depth of five miles.

Police in Mansfield said that they had no calls to 911, but the Arlington Police Department reported several calls in the minutes after the quake struck.

North Texas has seen a spate of minor quakes in recent years, but none so far have led to significant damage or injuries.
