YELL COUNTY, AR. (KTHV) – According to authorities in Yell County, a 10-month-old child and his father who had been the center of a search and rescue effort were found dead Tuesday.
The baby, Harper Alexander Floyd, and his father, 33-year-old Brian Allen Floyd, were found dead in a wooded area in Yell County on Tuesday around 1:30 p.m. by U.S. Forest Service Investigators.
According to Yell County authorities, the two were last seen in the Ouachita Mountains area south of Blue Mountain Lake. The truck they were believed to be traveling in was found three days after their disappearance in a remote and treacherous area off Forest Road 18.

On Sunday, wife and mother Brooke Sueann Floyd, 21, was reportedly arrested for felony endangering the welfare of a minor and hindering apprehension or prosecution. They have not revealed the circumstances surrounding her arrest, but on Wednesday, authorities told THV11's CBS affiliate in northwest Arkansas KFSM that she is considered a "possible suspect." The sheriff's office confirmed on Wednesday that she had bonded out of jail. She is scheduled to appear in court next week.

No Amber Alert had been issued, because according to the Yell County Sheriff's Office, the situation did not meet the criteria. Law enforcement agencies said they were treating this as a search and rescue effort.
