EAST TEXAS (KYTX) - Good Monday morning!
The cooler than normal temperatures we enjoyed over the past several days are now history. A return to July heat is expected starting today through the rest of the week. An upper level high centered over New Mexico will keep us dry and hot with only a slight chance (30%) of rain by Wednesday afternoon/evening as a disturbance rolls down the eastern side of the ridge over East Texas. Highs today and tomorrow will reach the mid-90's with overnight lows in the lower 70's.
Wednesday should see highs near 94 with a slight chance of scattered afternoon/evening thunderstorms. Hotter Thursday & Friday with highs climbing back into the upper 90's.
Have a great Monday!
