(KYTX) - A wreck involving a motorcyclist sends two men to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
On Thursday at 5:18p.m., Tyler 911 received a call about a traffic crash at the intersection of Loop 323 at Donnybrook.
The callers indicated a motorcycle vs. car crash had occurred and that the motorcycle rider was injured. Officers arrived at the scene 3 minutes later.
Investigation revealed Tony Peters, from Flint, was operating a Harley Davidson motorcycle westbound on the loop. Scott Plummer, of Tyler, was operating a Dodge Caravan eastbound on the loop in the inside lane.
Peters appears to have failed to yield right-of-way and turned into the path of Plummer to go south on Donnybrook. Tony Peters was thrown onto the hood of Scott Plummer's vehicle and sustained non-life threatening injuries. Scott Plummer was also injured in the crash.
Both Peters and Plummer were transported to the hospital for treatment. Both individuals are expected to be treated and released from ETMC.
Eastbound traffic on the loop was forced to use the outside lane for several minutes until the scene could be cleared.
