Nacogdoches County Drug Arrest

NACOGDOCHES COUNTY (KYTX)- A traffic stop has resulted in the arrest of one man and the seizure of 7 lbs of marijuana.

Sheriff Jason Bridges stated that deputies conducted a traffic stop on a white Ford sport utility vehicle at or about 11:45 pm on Wednesday night for a traffic offense.

When Deputies approached the vehicle they could smell the odor of marijuana. The driver was questioned about the odor of marijuana and admitted to having some in the vehicle.

Deputies conducted a probable cause search of the vehicle which led to the seizure of 7 lbs of marijuana that was concealed inside a trash bag inside of the SUV.

The driver was identified as William Frederick 34 years of age from Arcola, Texas. He was arrested at the scene and charged with possession of marijuana a 3rd felony. Frederick was booked into the Nacogdoches County Jail. His bond has been set at $15,000.00 dollars.
