34-year-old Brandon Sealy was arrested following a traffic stop late Tuesday night which led sheriff's deputies to a stash of methamphetamine and an alleged plot to sell it.
Deputies said Sealy was stopped around 11:00pm near the intersection of Highway 59 South and County Road 524. They described Sealy as nervous throughout the traffic stop, and later learned he had an existing warrant for his arrest in another traffic case.
According to Lieutenant Jason Bridges, a search of the car revealed more than eight grams of meth individually packaged for sale, a scale and additional drug paraphernalia. Bridges also said Sealy was carrying pills for which he had no prescription.
Sealy was charged with the manufacture or delivery of a controlled substance, a first degree felony, and possession of a controlled substance, a class-A misdemeanor. He's being held in the Nacogdoches County Jail on $17,500 bond.
