Nacogdoches man accused of robbing and assaulting SFASU employee

NACOGDOCHES (KYTX) - A Nacogdoches man is jailed after he was arrested and charged with robbery in connection with a disturbance Monday afternoon at Commerce and Church Street.

Police report a Stephen F. Austin State University (SFASU) employee was making a pick up at the rear entrance of the Cole Art Center when he was approached by an unknown person.

The driver of the truck alleges the suspect, later identified as 59-year-old William Charles Hudson, struck him several times in the face and head area and forcibly took his keys from him.

The driver of the delivery truck had visible bruising to his face.

Mr. Hudson was arrested and transported to the county jail and charged with robbery.
