Nacogdoches police: Man points rifle at jogger

NACOGDOCHES (KYTX) - Nacogdoches police officers responded to a call just before 6 Monday morning of a man who had been threatened with a rifle at a local park.

The caller said he was jogging in the 800 Block of E. Starr on Lanana Creek Trail in Pecan Park when a middled-aged white man, dressed in camouflage, approached him and pointed a rifle towards him.

The suspect reportedly re-entered a wooded area near the trail and had not been located as of noon Monday. The trail was reopened about 8:30 a.m., according to Sergeant Greg Sowell of the Nacogdoches Police Department.

The investigation is continuing.
