National Guard troops headed to Ferguson, MO

FERGUSON, MO (CBS) -  An executive order from Missouri Governor Jay Nixon sends National Guard Troops to Ferguson.

Police officers in riot gear ordered people off the streets in Ferguson overnight, as a second night of a mandatory midnight curfew went into effect. A McDonald's was even evacuated. Employees called police and said they'd locked themselves in a storage room after a large crowd gathered in the restaurant.

The protests come after the shooting death of 18-year-old Michael Brown at the hands of a white police officer one week ago. Brown's family held a rally at a church in the community Sunday night calling for justice.

The Justice Department plans to conduct its own autopsy on Brown's body.
