AVERY, Tx. (KTBS) - The National Weather Service has confirmed that one tornado touched down in east Texas Monday.
The EF-0 twister which traveled about 85 MPH, touched down about 1 mile west of Avery, Texas and ended about 1 mile east northeast of the town of Avery.
Reports suggest the tornado began along CR 3326 where it snapped several trees in its path. It then continued and damaged the roof of the school gym.
The roof of a dugout at the baseball field was also ripped off and a small out building was overturned.
No injuries were reported.
