(KYTX) - Tyler is home to a new Career and Technical Education Center. Tyler ISD board members broke ground on it this morning.
The school will provide 16 different career pathways. Tyler ISD board President Orenthia Mason says this new school will prepare students for high skill, high wage, high demand careers.
"We just have to think out of the box. And, it's important that our students are well-rounded and that we have prepared them for any walk of life- and particularly to be successful and productive citizens," says Mason.
The Career and Technical Education Center is part of the 2013 bond election. It is expected to be open for students in the fall of 2015.
