Nine arrested in two Gregg County raids

LONGVIEW (KYTX) - Members of Gregg County's Organized Drug Enforcement agency, also called CODE, swept through a Longview hotel Wednesday morning and a sexually oriented business between Kilgore and Tyler last night. In all, nine people were arrested.

The first raid was conducted at the Contessa Inn in the 700 block of Texas Highway 31 West in Longview shortly before noon Wednesday, and led to the first two arrests.

38-year-old Angela Renee Blalock of Henderson is charged with manufacture and delivery of a controlled substance and 36-year-old Devone Vernon Harris of Longview faces charges of drug possession and traffic outstanding warrants.

And just before midnight, CODE agents arrested seven people at Fantasy Ranch, a bikini bar near the Gregg-Smith County line.

Six women were arrested on charges of not being compliant with local county regulations, exposing themselves at a business not licence for nude performances.  Arrested were 19-year-old Alexis Jackson,  33-year-old Acacia Castagne, and 22-year-old Maria Nicole Delio, all of Longview. Also arrested were 20-year-old Jillian Marie Clay of Tyler, Shania Diane Mortan of Eustace, and Rusti-Lena Ramsey of Mount Pleasant.

Code agents also arrested a Dallas man, 33-year-old Daniel Scott Nelson for not having a permit to selling alcohol in an area of Gregg County where alcoholic beverage sales are allowed.

All nine people are in the Gregg County Jail this afternoon, and bond has not been set. We'll have more on this developing story as it becomes available.
