OCT-Gregg County Continues to March Despite Bans from Corporations

LONGVIEW (KYTX) - Honks to show support for these men carrying shotguns and rifles.  Open Carry Texas-Gregg County stood just feet from Sonic, one business which recently asked customers to stop carrying weapons onto its properties. Event Organizer Anthony LaDuke says these bans worry him.

"I feel like everyone should have the rights to defend themselves and their families, regardless of where they are." - Anthony LaDuke, OCT-Gregg County Event Organizer

LaDuke and other members of OCT-Gregg County spread out on Highway 80 in Longview- and talked to drivers that would listen.  The goal is to pass legislation that *continues to allow open carrying of long barreled rifles, and allows handguns to be carried openly as well.  LaDuke says bans imposed from businesses like Sonic, Chili's Chipotle, Starbucks, and Target won't keep him from marching.

"I think it's a loss for everybody. But it's not going to deter me from coming out here and doing this."
