Palestine authorities seek suspect in restaurant employee hold-up

PALESTINE (KYTX) - Police in Palestine are seeking a suspect in connection with the armed robbery of the Subway restaurant located in the 2900 block of West Oak St.

On October 23, 2013 shortly after 5:00 a.m. Palestine Police arrived at the store, and the initial report indicated that an armed gunman came up behind an employee as they were about to open the store for the morning.

The employee was then led inside the store and made to open the safe. The gunman took a small amount of cash from the safe, and then fled on foot in an unknown direction.

The gunman had his face covered with some type of ski mask at the time of the robbery. The gunman was described as wearing a hooded jacket, long pants, sunglasses, and gloves. The gunman was also armed with an unknown type of handgun.
