Passenger extricated from an SUV after Tyler crash

TYLER (KYTX) - UPDATE: A passenger had to be extricated from a small SUV after a wreck on Old Jacksonville Highway about 7:40 Friday morning.

Tyler Police say a car was driving north on Old Jacksonville when another vehicle driving south on Old Jacksonville took a left into the Food Fast convenience store.  Investigators say the small SUV failed to yield the right of way and was T-boned by the car.

Witnesses say a couple of people had to be taken to the hospital. It's unclear of their injuries right now.

Emergency crews are on the scene of an accident in Tyler. It happened around 7:40 at the intersection of Old Jacksonville Hwy and Rice Road. Tyler Police tells CBS19 there were some injuries reported.
