Pedestrian killed after being struck by vehicle

UPDATE: Player was not charged in the wreck. Nearly two months ago, he was convicted of misdemeanor public intoxication and fined $500, after prosecutors dropped a DWI charge against him, according to the Gregg County Jail records. Player has been arrested four times since 2011 on charges from DWI to speeding and minor consuming an alcoholic beverage.

LONGVIEW/GREGG COUNTY (KYTX) - On April 7, 2013 at 1:41 a.m., officers responded to a accident with injuries in the 1100 Block of West Marshall Avenue.

When Officers arrived they found the victim, 30 year-old Anson Fuller of Longview, lying in the roadway. According to witnesses Fuller had been inside the Cloud Nine Club and was asked to leave because he was causing a disturbance. Fuller left and was crossing the roadway when he was struck by a GMC pickup truck driven by Calob Player, 20 years-old, of White Oak.

 Fuller was transported to Good Shepherd Medical Center with life-threatening injuries where he later died.
