Pittsburg's Old City Hall to be Restored

LONGVIEW (KYTX) - The city of Pittsburg is continuing its effort to restore historic buildings in its downtown district. This building was the old police station, city hall, and fire station. The building was built in the 1920's but has recently become abandoned.  The renovation is aimed to restore it to look like it did in the 20's and is expected to cost $300,000 dollars. Main Street Manager Jenny Rowen says it's an ongoing effort to restore history in Pittsburg.

"There are memories in the community that are connected to this building, restoring this building not only restores the structure but also restores the community's history. " - Jenny Rowen, Main Street Manager

The renovations are being paid for by Main Street Grants and private donations.
