Plane crashes after takeoff, 19 killed

KATHMANDU, NEPAL (CBS) -  A small plane crashes shortly after takeoff from the Nepali capital of Kathmandu killing 19 people.

Seven British and five Chinese passengers are said to be among the dead. Police say the twin-engine propeller-driven dornier aircraft, owned by private firm Sita Air, was headed to the Mount Everest area.

Right now, authorities don't know what caused the crash. The weather was clear at the time.
