DICKINSON (KHOU) -- Dickinson police say a 100-mph chase has ended in a two-vehicle collision that killed both drivers.
Capt. J. Jaekel told the Galveston Daily News the wreck occurred Sunday night after an officer tried pulling over a Dodge Durango in Dickinson.
Police say the Durango was swerving all over the road and fled when an officer pursued it. Jaekel says the officer couldn't keep up with the Durango. He says the chase ended when the Durango blew through a stop sign in League City and slammed into another SUV. Police say no one survived the crash.
At least six people died in the wreck, authorities said. One of the victims just got married three weeks ago -- he was returning home from doing laundry when he was caught up in the wreck.
Multiple law enforcement agencies are assisting in the investigation.
