Police seeking masked robber

TYLER (TYLER MORNING TELEGRAPH) - The Tyler Police Department is asking the public for help identifying a man who robbed a Tyler dollar store.

About 9:35 p.m. Saturday, a white or Hispanic man wearing a gas mask entered the Dollar General at 2724 W. Gentry Parkway, according to a news release.

The man pointed a black pistol grip shotgun at employees and demanded mo­ney. After taking an undis­closed amount of money, the man fled the store on foot, heading north toward West Gentry Parkway.

The man was between 5-foot-10 and 6-feet tall, about 145 pounds and had brown hair. He was wearing a black or blue jacket, red T-shirt and blue jeans, according to the release.

The investigation is ongoing.Anyone with information about this case is urged to contact the Tyler Police Department, at 903-531-1000, or Crimestoppers at 903-597-2833. Crimestoppers will pay up to $1,000 for information that leads to the arrest and charges filed against the suspects in this case or any felony case.
