Polk Co. man arrested for sexually assaulting 11-year-old girl

POLK COUNTY (KYTX) - Lieutenant Craig Fenegan, with the Polk County Sheriff's Office, says they arrested a 17-year-old Polk County man on Sunday, March 24, 2013 for sexually assaulting an 11-year-old girl in early March.

Lt. Fenegan says he received an anonymous call about the case on March 13th, while trying to contact the young girl's guardian, she made an outcry to her grandmother. She was then taken to Livingston Memorial hospital were L.T. Fenegan says the girl was examined by a SANE nurse who found evidence that the child had been sexually assaulted with force trauma.   

Lt. Fenegan tells CBS 19 that the assault happen in a abandoned house near the child's home.

Cody Lamar White was arrested and charged with aggravated sexual assault of a child. White bond is $50,000. Fenegan says the victim did know White.
