Rains County inmate escapes while in custody


Crystal Marie Robinson who escaped while in custody at the Rains County Courthouse Tuesday is possibly driving a stolen truck, according to investigators.

Rains Co. Sheriff Deputy Christine Holt tells CBS 19 News, Robinson went to a neighbors house and asked for water when she made off with the neighbors truck keys.

The pick-up is described as a Ford F-150 King Ranch Edition with paper tags, 11D3436. The back of the truck has a orange neon tape displaying the name , " Metal Roofing and More".

Robinson also changed her physical appearance and shaved her head with just bangs on her forehead. She is also out of her orange jail jumpsuit and was last seen wearing a tank top and gray jeans.

Deputies also found her orange jail shoes in the parking lot of the courthouse.


RAINS COUNTY (KYKX) - East Texas authorities are asking the public's help in locating Crystal Marie Robinson who escaped while being held in custody at the Rains County Courthouse.

Robinson who was jailed on several charges including evading arrest and theft may have fled on foot or in a green colored car parked in the area.

Robinson is described as an Hispanic female, 5'3", approximately 130 lbs.
