Religious Group Shows Up at Kilgore College

KILGORE (KYTX) - A crowded sidewalk of two groups shouting back and forth. With bibles in hand, the church men said anything they could to get the students' attention. Steven Plumlee says he's had his jaw broken, skull fractured, and other injuries doing this kind of work.
"Anger, and Hatred. I'm here to tell people they are dying in their sins and they are going to perish"
He and his comrades lined up on this city sidewalk that goes through the Kilgore college campus.
Kilgore College student LaDarrius Charles is a licensed preacher at Hughes Chapel Christian mMethod, and he says the group made him angry.
"It's not fair for these guys to come out here and treat these people this way"
He says the men have a constitutional right to say what they want, but he's not going to take it lightly.
"This type of preaching is what turns people away from Christ, and as a man of God I can't allow that."
"What I'd like to know is do you think your sitting on the couch is effective. People say they love God but don't do anything." - Plumlee
Dozens of other Kilgore College students joined Charles in the debate.
Plumlee says he's going to keep coming back.
