Remains found in San Augustine County may be of man reported missing

SAN AUGUSTINE COUNTY (KYTX) - San Augustine County investigators say they're confident the remains of a man found last October will turn out to be those of a man who went missing more than 10 years ago from Nacogdoches.

Loggers found a set of bones and some clothes while they were cutting down trees in the Angelina National Forest.

Those bones were sent to the University of North Texas.

The sheriff's office won't release the man's name until a final DNA test comes back.

They're expecting those results soon.
