Reward offered for suspects in Rusk robbery

RUSK (KYTX) - Rusk police need your help finding the men accused of robbing two women at gunpoint, even beating one of them in the process, police say.

Police said the offense happened Sunday night as the women were leaving a worship service at a local radio station.

As they were walking on the sidewalk in the 100 block of North Main Street, two men stopped them.

Lieutenant Jamie Campbell says one of the suspects pushed a woman down, while the other woman was pistol-whipped.

The two men ran off with a purse and it's contents, which included an undisclosed amount of cash. The two women received minor injuries in the scuffle.

Police say a cash reward is being offered to anyone with information about the crime.
