Rhode Island nightclub fire remembered in memorial service

WEST WARWICK (KYTX/CNN) - Wednesday marks the 10 year anniversary of The Station Nightclub fire in Rhode Island.

Yesterday, family and friends gathered together to remember those who died. 100 people were killed when pyrotechnics ignited the club's sound-proofing foam during a rock band performance. Hundreds more were hurt.

The Station Fire Memorial Foundation showed plans for a permanent memorial at the site where the club once stood.  Authorities hope to break ground on it this year.
