TYLER (KYTX)-The Robert E. Lee High School Red Raider marching band is preparing for their annual march-a-thon this weekend.
The band spent the morning practicing marching.
The band rehearses outside daily from 7 A.M. to 10:30 A.M. and then inside from noon to three P.M.
The march-a-thon is the band's biggest fundraiser.
Band director Bobby Castillo says band members are excited to show the community what they have been working on.
"This year in particular the march-a-thon, the student pledges will go to our spring trip in March, were traveling to Washington D.C. so our primary purpose is to help fund students trips to D.C. but we also have other costs in the band," Castillo said.
The band will be marching through the neighborhoods surrounding golden road park from 8 A.M. until noon on Saturday.
