(KYTX) - Tyler's popular Rose Festival weekend is about to start.
Last year the Rose Festival itself brought more than 77,000 visitors to Tyler.
The entire rose season of October last year had an economic impact of $2.4 million.
Tyler tourism directors are worried some wet weekend weather could affect this year's turnout.
"Saturday there is a chance of rain so I hope it doesn't rain to be honest. I know we need it but it will affect numbers for the parade and the queen's tea as well," says Susan Travis, Assistant VP, tourism and servicing.
The Rose Festival ribbon cutting is tomorrow at 10 a.m. at the Rose Garden Center.
The Rose Parade is Saturday morning at 9 a.m. Saturday afternoon from 1-3 is the Queen's Tea at the Rose Garden.
Saturday from 9 - 6 is the Arts and Crafts Fair at Bergfeld Park.
