Routine traffic stop leads to Nacogdoches meth bust

NACOGDOCHES (KYTX) - Two arrests were made following a traffic stop on Saturday where deputies seized 16 grams of crystal methamphetamine that was found inside a vehicle.  Deputies conducted a traffic stop on Cr. 104 at about 1:00 am in the morning after observing a vehicle traveling with no headlights down the county road.

The vehicle was occupied by a male and female who were both acting suspicious and nervous after deputies made contact with them. Deputies obtained consent to search the motor vehicle which lead to the discovery of methamphetamine and hydrocodone pills founds inside the motor vehicle.

Billy Mccarta 40 years of age and Wendy Cline 34 years of age from Nacogdoches, Texas were arrested at the scene and transported to the Nacogdoches County Jail. Both were charged with delivery of a controlled substance a 1st felony. The methamphetamine was packaged in individually baggies for distribution.

On Friday evening at 7:00 pm, Deputies also conducted a search of a residence on Cr. 104. Deputies received information of drug activity at a residence and made contact with the home owner. Deputies obtained consent to search the residence and seized 2 grams of crystal methamphetamine that was packaged in individually baggies for distribution.

Lisa Lintz 48 years of age from Nacogdoches, Texas was arrested for delivery of a controlled substance a 1 st degree felony and booked into the Nacogdoches County Jail.
