Dr. Cathy Fiesler from Tyler didn't get the finish her 7th Boston Marathon, the bombs exploded before she could reach the finish line.
"It was just a good day for running, but around the 22nd and 23rd mile, the police started to congregate... so you knew something was wrong. And what I heard was that a pipe bomb had went off" - Cathy Fiesler
And the devastation sent shockwaves all the way back to East Texas.
Wednesday night she and members of her running group, the East Texas Striders, took to the track at Robert E. Lee High School, to honor those hurt and killed in Monday's blasts.
Rebecca Dickson with the East Texas Striders says the group will hold another run to raise money Saturday.
