(KYTX) - The Sabine and San Augustine Counties District Attorney, Kevin Dutton, has turned over any further investigation in the Alfred Wright case to the Texas Attorney General's Office.
In a press release, Dutton states he authorizes the Texas Rangers to release all information in their investigation and that his office welcomes the investigation by the Justice Department because of serious allegations being made.
It goes on to say because of the allegations against the sheriff, Dutton requested the Attorney General's Office to take over the case.
Alfred Wright's body was found lying in a pasture last November in rural Sabine County. He went missing on his way to see a patient. Wright was a home health physical therapist.
